Release: Laquan Austion Announces Candidacy for Virginia’s 2nd House District
Stafford, Virginia – Laquan Austion, Republican candidate for Virginia House District 2, announced Monday he is running for the 2nd District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. Austion’s campaign will focus on bringing a new voice and new solutions to Richmond.
“The people of the 2nd district deserve to have a voice in Richmond by someone who will always listen, work hard, and fight for them. Being a tireless voice for families, and fighting to make life for the people in Stafford & Prince William the best it can be, will be my number one goal,” stated Austion.
“The first few years of my life I was homeless. Through hard work, sacrifice, and faith I was able to climb out of poverty, and achieve the American dream. The Republican Party to me was never about big government or any individual politician – it was about creating opportunities for people who worked hard. There will be no stronger advocate than me, for fostering an environment that creates opportunities and promotes upward mobility.”
Austion concluded, “Over the next year, I’m looking forward to meeting all the voters of the 2nd district, and listening to their concerns. Our campaign will run an aggressive outreach to voters all over the district.”
